How How Mighty Teton Nation
Your Teton Nation Officers have been monitoring the ever changing Florida news about Covid-19. The recommendations of the Federal CDC and Florida Department of Health is to cancel all mass gathering events. Unfortunately, the camp outs and tribal events certainly fall under this category.
After careful consideration, your Nation Officers have decided to post-pone all Nation and Tribal activities for the next 30 days. This decision was not made lightly but was done in consideration of all families in our Nation. The last thing we want is to exacerbate any potential spreading of this virus. This includes the State Pow Wow, upcoming Longhouse and our Burger Bash event.
Unfortunately, for individuals like myself who have already registered may not receive a refund. This is not a Teton Nation event and we do not have the ability to cancel or make any decisions in regards to the event. We will continue to work with the Timucuan Nation to see if we can recover any payments made. If we are successful, I will reach out to those that registered via their tribal chiefs.
Teton Nation Officers will circle back toward the end of April to assess and make decisions on our spring camp out, Rapids, and our Annual Golf Tournament.
Thank you in advance for your support and understanding during this very strange time.
Sincerely,
Chief Jackson ‘Running Boar’ Self
